Junk Art

My Dad - The artist!
This is just proof that ones man's junk can be (or can be turned into) a treasure!

He is BRILLIANT!

New treasure...

I love new projects - enough said!

It is a weird picture (sorry). Currently it is a dresser. When I am done with it a TV console.

This project will be completed not just by me but also my fabulous cousins!

This weekend I also got a school chair to restore. Photos coming soon!

COLOR

WHY be affraid of color?
This question coming from a girl who lives in the color black. Seems off however the more I embrass color into my life the "brighter" my out look seems to be.

My color adventures kick off with the most AMAZING oak dining room table.
Oak is a beautiful wood so I didnt want to paint the entire piece so I used a dark walnut stain on the top paired with a blue paint (with of course a glaze) on the base. The outcome is perfectly imperfect.

I couldnt help but to give each of you a sneak peak.
This piece will be for sale once the chairs are completed... More pictures to come so be sure to check back!

If you are intrested in this piece or any customer piece please e-mail me at contactmekelsey@yahoo.com

When I saw this piece I knew that it had potential. I just had to put in a little (ok a lot) of work.

New TREASURES

It is what I love to do best, Search for "treasures"...
Treasures is the name given by my boss. My son; Mason.

So below are my newest treasures.
Cant wait to get to work.

First up the oak table.
The game plan: Teal blue base and chairs with a dark walnut stain on the top. I am thinking this might be a keeper!
